The Power of Patient Experiences: Confronting Implicit Biases and Disrupting HIV-related Stigma

Join us for our second annual Zero HIV Stigma Day observance as we explore the concept of narrative medicine as a tool to disrupt HIV-related stigma and its impact on patient-provider relationships.


Date: July 21, 2025

Event Time: 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. (Doors open at 1:00 p.m.)

Location: The LGBT Community Center, 208 W 13 Street New York, NY 10011


This event will include:

  • An inclusive and stigma-free space
  • Defining of narrative medicine as a tool to disrupt stigma
  • Panel Discussion featuring both clinicians and people of lived experience
  • Visual art
  • Live performances and entertainment
  • Social networking and community mobilization activity
  • Free refreshments and lunch
  • Clinical credentialing


It will take all of us to combat HIV-related stigma in our collective fight to end the HIV epidemic in New York City!
